Tattoo Removal

The EpiTouch Ruby Laser is a state-of-the art system specially designed to remove lesions and tattoos more reliably than many other method with less discomfort. Depending on your needs, most body areas can be treated with this technology.

The laser works by selectively targeting the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin. The lymphatic system of the body then absorbs the pigment residue. There is no surgical scar, no anesthesia, and no sedation. Several treatments are needed. The cost of the procedure varies based upon the site and coloration of the tattoo.

Facial Vein Removal

The Diolite™ laser can be used to diminish facial blood vessels, facial redness and brown spots.

Laser Hair Removal

It is a known fact the humans have more hair follicles per square inch than most higher primates, including chimpanzees and gorillas. Some hair is coarse and dark, and some is so fine and pale that it isn't visible to the naked eye.

When darker, coarser hair appears in places you don't like, or expect, on the face, neck, abdomen, breasts, arms, or underarms, or, for women, prevents you from wearing high-cut bathing suit, shorts, or even a short skirt, it may be time to consider hair removal.

Apex 800 Laser

The Apex 800 laser generates a beam of intense concentrated light which is directed through a small hand piece to the treatment site. The laser energy is absorbed by pigment in the hair causing selective damage to the follicle. Because the laser treats more than one hair at a time, it is possible to treat larger areas such as the back shoulder, arms, legs and face. Even sensitive areas such as the nipples, upper lip and bikini line can be treated easily and with minimal discomfort. Apex 800 laser treatment is a safe, fast, gentle and effective method for hair removal.

Are Laser Treatments painful?

While some areas of the body are more sensitive than others, most patients report little or no discomfort. For more sensitive patients, anesthetic creams can be applied prior to treatment.

Are there any side effects to Laser Treatments?

Short-term side effects may include a slight reddening of the skin or local swelling which typically lasts less than an hour, although it may infrequently last a few days. In rare instances, some blistering may occur. Laser hair removal does not make hair grow back thicker, darker or quicker. In fact, the opposite is often the case. Hair growth will frequently be delayed after treatment. When hair does grow back, it may be lighter, thinner and less dense.

Captique™

Captique™ is a new injectable filler designed to reduce wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth. Recently approved by the FDA, Captique is manufactured by Genzyme and distributed by Inamed Aesthetics, the same company that produces Zyderm®, Zyplast®, Cosmoderm®, Cosmoplast® and Hylaform®. Like Hylaform®, Captique gel is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar that bonds with water to add volume to the skin. Hyaluronic acid is non-animal based and carries no risk of allergic reaction, so no pre-treatment skin test is necessary.

Captique works in the same way as Restylane™. The clear gel is injected beneath the skin, where it binds with water to plump up wrinkles and folds, giving the skin a smoother, younger look. Touch-up treatments every few months can maintain the effects. Your physician can answer further questions and determine whether Captique is right for you.

LaserPeel™

LaserPeel™ is a safe, highly accurate method for removing the outer, often damaged layer of skin for a smoother, younger look. Often requiring only a gentle topical anesthetic, the LaserPeel™ procedure lasts about one hour. Unlike harsher kinds of peels, LaserPeel™ allows your doctor specify the amount of skin removed. This virtually painless method reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles, sun damaged age spots, and acne scars. A discussion with your doctor can determine the best method for your desired results. Sculptra™

Sculptra™ is a new injectable product used to fill in sunken areas of the face in HIV/AIDS patients who suffer from lipoatrophy or “facial wasting,” the loss of fat beneath the skin. Injected into the deep dermis layer of the skin, Sculptra increases skin thickness over time to improve the appearance of sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, indentations and wrinkles that commonly appear in patients who take anti-retroviral medications to combat immunodeficiency. There is no need for allergy testing, since Sculptra’s main component is poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic polymer in the alpha-hyrdoxy-acid family that has been used for 20 years in surgical products such as dissolvable sutures and bone screws.

Treatment results lasted up to two years in clinical trials. Possible side effects include those associated with any injection (bleeding, tenderness, redness, bruising or swelling) as well as the appearance of small bumps beneath the skin.

Feather Lift™

Featherlift™ tissue suspension offers a minimally invasive, adjustable and entirely reversible alternative to traditional facelifts. Using tiny, non-absorbable threads called Silhouette sutures, the Featherlift gently lifts sagging tissue into a more youthful position and stimulates collagen production, evenly enhancing the natural contours of the face.

Inserted through small incisions behind the hairline, FeatherLift threads are lowered into the soft tissue of the cheeks, where they bind to and gently lifted until the desired look is achieved. The Silhouette sutures used in a Featherlift are different from those used in other suspension procedures. They have smooth "cones" rather than barbs, allowing surgeons to lift facial tissues with a gentler tension without producing a prickling sensation like patients may experience with barbed sutures.

The Featherlift procedure is performed in the office under local anesthesia and takes only an hour. The procedure can be combined with many other surgical and non-surgical facial treatments for enhanced results, including facelifts, browlifts, BOTOX® injections, and soft tissue fillers such as collagen and hyaluronic acid. The threads can also be readjusted or removed at a later date.

The best candidates for the FeatherLift procedure are younger and middle-aged patients or people with drooping of the soft tissue of the face and neck, weak aesthetic contours or premature aging around the face and neck.
